Civil society organizations-led Zero Extreme Poverty Philippines 2030‘s 2-day National Consultation-Workshop of NGOs on Environment: Together, Committing to Zero Extreme Poverty Philippines 2030 was held last July 28-29, 2016, at Sequoia Hotel in Quezon City. The consultation-workshop convened around 60 environmental NGOs / CSOs from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with the aim of producing a CSO-led national agenda on environment towards poverty reduction.

The consultation-workshop began with a Philippine Environment and Poverty Situationer. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources Biodiversity Management Bureau (DENR-BMB) then presented the salient features of the Philippine Biodiversity Strategy Action Plan. Workshops involved sharing learnings of CSOs nationwide, and action planning. The resulting national agenda was then presented to key government representatives on the second day.
